Pioneer Athletics Hall of Fame
Pierce compiled an impressive 45-8 win-loss record as a singles player in 1976-77 and teamed with CSUEB Hall of Famer Doug Ditmer for a two-year doubles record of 49-3. Pierce and Ditmer earned All American honors in doubles in 1977 and during that season defeated the No. 1 doubles team from Cal-Berkeley. Pierce’s career achievements after leaving school include being the top rated player in Northern California in the various 40 and over age group categories.
