Pioneer Athletics Hall of Fame
Moran was on the men’s track and field team from 1981-85 and played basketball from 1984-86. He was a two-time NCAA II National Champion in the high jump in 1982 and 1984, and a three-time All-American in the same event (1982, 83, and 1984). Moran still holds the school record in the high jump at 7’4 ¼. He was the starting center for the Pioneer men’s basketball team which captured the 1984-85 and 1985-86 NCAA II West Regionals. Moran was named to the NCAA II West Region All-Tournament Team and 1st team All-NCAC during the 1985-86 season.
