Pioneer Athletics Hall of Fame
Ford earned a pair of Division II national championships in the discus in 1981 and 1983. Ford set a NCAA Division II record with a winning throw of 162-1 at the 1983 national meet. She was a two-time All-American discus thrower in Division I and Division II in 1982. “She was the best discus thrower in the country for her size,” noted her throwing coach, Dr. Harmon Brown.
