Pioneer Athletics Hall of Fame
Murray was a two-time All-Far Western Conference performer for the Pioneer baseball team in 1964-65. He topped the Pioneers in seven offensive categories during the 1964 season including runs scored (17), hits (29), doubles (5), triples (2), home runs (5), runs batted in (22), and batting average (.382). Murray led the Pioneers in hitting with a .329 batting average and six doubles in 1965. He also competed for the Pioneer men’s basketball team.
