Pioneer Athletics Hall of Fame
Cathy Sulinski has been the Cal State Hayward and Golden State Conference record holder in the javel8n since 1979. She was a four-time AIAW Division I All-American and a two-time National Champion in the javelin in 1978 and ’79. In 1980, Sulinski was an Olympic Trial Finalist. She was a member of the US Olympic Team in 1984 placing 10th in the javelin. She was the javelin champion at the 1985 National Sports Festival. Sulinski also excelled for the Cal State Hayward women’s basketball team.
