Pioneer Athletics Hall of Fame
Janice Knudsen played for the Cal State Hayward women’s basketball team from 1979-1983. She holds two school records for career assists (415) and steals in a season (116). Knudsen held three other school records: most assists in a game (12), most steals in a game (9) and most points in a game (27). She was named All-Golden State Conference three times, including first team honors in 1983. She averaged 17 points while leading the conference in assists (79) and steals (73) during the 1983 season.
