Pioneer Athletics Hall of Fame
Marie Nickson was one of the top sprinters in the history of Women’s Track & Field at CSUH. She holds the school record in the 100 Meters (11.65) and 200 Meters (23.64). Nickson was the Golden State Conference champion in both the 100 and 200 meters all three years she competed. She earned All-American honors in the 100 and 200 Meters in 1978. Nickson was the Golden State Conference “Athlete of the Year” in 1979 for individual championships in the 100, 200, and 400 meters.
