Michael Dean is the third leading scorer in Cal State East Bay Men’s Basketball history with 1112 points. He holds the CSUEB record for most points in a season (656), game average (23.4), field goals made (243), and steals in a season (120). Dean was named first team All-Nor Cal in 1997-98 and was third in the NCAA II with 105 steals. He was selected Cal Pac Conference Player of the Year and NAIA All-American and set seven school records including most points in a game with 45 in 1998-99. During the 1998-99 season, the Pioneers competed in post-season play.
