The Cal State East Bay swim team captured its sixth dual meet victory of the season with a 164-114 win over Fresno Pacific on Friday afternoon. The Pioneers won 10 of the 16 races at the meet, topping the Sunbirds for the second time this season after just beating out FPU at the UNLV Invitational in December.

Though Fresno Pacific opened the meet with a win in the 200 medley relay, Cutts gave the Pioneers their first nine points with the first of two season bests on the day. The Portland, Ore., native took 20 seconds off her previous best in the 1000 freestyle, beating out FPU's Mari Aumitre by 23 seconds, touching the wall in 10:40.86.

Lopez claimed the 200 free and was joined by Rachel Shimizu and Karly Wasung in second and third to complete a sweep of the top three places. Tenney followed with a two-second win over the Sunbirds in the 100 back. Bethany Hoopman and DeNise claimed third and fourth to give the Pioneers a 46-28 advantage through four races.

The Sunbirds responded with a five-second win in the 100 breaststroke. Though Makila Schuck claimed second place, FPU also grabbed third and fourth to pull within five points of the Pioneers. Rojo and DeNise answered back with wins in the 200 fly and the 50 free. Rojo took two seconds off her season best, while DeNise, Lopez and Kameron Isaacs made it a sweep of the top three in the 50 free.

After the Sunbirds claimed nine points with one diving competitor, Lopez and Wasung took first and third in the 200 free, while Alyssa Littlefield made it three Pioneers in the top four. Tenney and Hoopman followed with a one-two finish in the 200 back to give East Bay four straight race victories before Fresno Pacific claimed the 200 breaststroke.

Cutts and Shimizu got the Pioneers back on track, finishing first and second, respectively, in the 500 free. Cutts posted her second season best of the day with a time of 5:11.54. DeNise and Rojo followed with another first and third finish for East Bay, this time in the 100 fly.

The Sunbirds claimed the three-meter diving event and the the 200 IM, where Hoopman, Knowles and Courtney Schwiesow went two-three-four, before the Pioneers finished off the meet with the win in the 400 free relay.
