Biography

AS A JUNIOR (2011-12): Consistently ranked among the top 30 in Division II in the 50-, 100- and 200-meter freestyle...Broke school records in the 50, 100 and 200 free...Anchored four record-breaking relay teams in the 800 free, 400 free, 200 and 400 medley...Guided the team to its best-ever finish at PCSC Championships with a fifth-place showing...Claimed the Pioneers’ first hardware with a third-place showing in the 200 free at the PCSC meet...Anchored the 800 free relay team that finished fourth and set an NCAA “B” cut at PCSC Championships...Led the Pioneers to 11 NCAA “B” cuts at the conference meet...Named East Bay’s Female Athlete of the Year...Helped the team earn a CSCAA Team Scholar Award.

AT CERRITOS COLLEGE: Established nine school records and twice named conference Most Valuable Swimmer at Cerritos College…Led Cerritos College to conference championships in swimming and water polo.

HIGH SCHOOL: CIF champion in the 50 and 100 free as well as Most Valuable Swimmer as a freshman…Helped her team to the 2007 CIF Division III Championship… A junior national qualifier in the 1000 free for the IHAC/Armada Swim Clubs.

PERSONAL: A political science major…List Amy Van Dyken and Miles Austin as favorite athletes…Chose Cal State East Bay to use her talents both academically and in athletics…Has two siblings, Jowell and Jared…Born April 5, 1990…Parents are Tom Lopez and Anna Medina.
