With several postseason honors awarded to Cal State East Bay softball following the 2026 season, the conference's top individual accolade went to Marissa Quintero, who was named CCAA Softball Pitcher of the Year.

The junior right-hander, also an All-CCAA First Team selection, was a consistent force in the circle as the Pioneers went 38-14 overall and 20-12 in conference play. She anchored the pitching staff with a 25-6 record and a 1.15 ERA over 194.1 innings pitched, while striking out 124 batters and holding opponents to a .174 batting average.

Quintero delivered in key moments throughout the season, tossing 20 complete games and four shutouts, while also recording four saves. She allowed just 32 earned runs all year and surrendered only one home run across nearly 200 innings of work.

Her durability and consistency were unmatched, as she led the Pioneers in appearances (39) and starts (24), playing a pivotal role in Cal State East Bay's success throughout the season.

In addition to her season-long dominance, Quintero earned CCAA Pitcher of the Week honors five times during the year. She also became a back-to-back CCAA Pitcher of the Year selection, further solidifying her place as one of the top pitchers in the conference.
