RICHMOND, Va. - The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced its 2023 Scholar All-Americans this past week. From Cal State East Bay, seven swimmers received honors from the association for their success in the classroom. 

Student-athletes must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participate in their respective national swimming championship as five Pioneers reached those criteria. Also, there were two Second-Team selections from Cal State East Bay who earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and met the "B" time standard for the national championship.

Brooklyn Dressel
Jacqueline Feurtado
Emma Knott
Olivia Parham

Second Team Scholar All-America
Miya French
Justine Garcia

Carlson, Dressel and Parham received the same honor in 2022. Knott was a second team honoree in 2022. 

In late June, the Pioneers as a team were named a Scholar All-America Team with the third highest GPA among Division II women's swimming and Diving programs.
