OVERVIEW

Cal State East Bay will play five CCAA games in seven days as they take on Sonoma State in Rohnert Park on Tuesday and host a four-game series against CSU Los Angeles at Pioneer Baseball Field. The Pioneers won their four game series against CSU Dominguez Hills 3-1 in Carson last weekend, combining for 51 runs in the series, including 34 of them in Saturday's doubleheader. The Seawolves went 2-2 against Cal State LA. 

The Pioneers have won the first three matchups against the Seawolves this season and will look to sweep the season series on Tuesday. Cal State LA plays one game against Cal State San Bernardino on Tuesday before meeting the Pioneers on Friday. 

Going into Tuesday, the Pioneers are percentage points behind CSU Dominguez Hills for the sixth and final playoff spot.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Cole Anderson
The sophomore from Rocklin, California leads the Pioneers in batting average (.374) and is currently fourth in the CCAA in that category heading into Tuesday. He was named CCAA Player of the Week after going 14-for-21 in the past five games with 10 RBIs. 
 
Matthew O'Mahony
The junior from San Bruno, California is currently third in in the CCAA in hits per game (1.44). In every game in the most recent series at CSUDH, he had at least two hits. 
 
Ethan Brodsky
The junior from Mission Viejo, California currently leads the CCAA in strikeouts (65), third in victories (5) and fourth in strikeout-to-walk ratio (4.33) and strikeouts per nine innings (9.64).
