Box Score SAN BERNARDINO, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay baseball team opened California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) action with a four-game road series sweep over CSU San Bernardino with a, 15-4 victory at Fiscalini Field on Sunday.

The Pioneers used two late inning rallies to improve to 8-0 on the season, a program record for consecutive games won to start a season. Also CSUEB had it's second multi-home run game as they finished with 15 total hits.

Senior
Ryan McSwain belted a solo shot to left field for his team-leading third home run of the season to open the Pios final inning of action and Newcomer
AJ Curtis powered his first home run as a Pioneer to center field to open the scoring for CSUEB in the third inning. McSwain finished with two hits and an RBI while Curtis turned in two hits, two runs and an RBI.

Ransome Alexander got the start on the mound for East Bay and tossed 4.2 innings with a season-best five strikeouts.
Ryan Robinson (W, 1-0) collected his first win as a Pioneer after tossing 1.1 innings.

Omar Sanchez went 3-of-3 from the plate with a double, his first of the season, two runs and an RBI.
Jordan Macias also compiled three hits and added three runs as well.
Samuel Esparza wrapped up a solid weekend at the plate with two doubles, two RBI and a run scored.

Matt Woinarowicz,
Derek Flowers and
Kyle Basch all saw action out of the bullpen. Woinarowicz fanned one batter while Flowers and Basch did not allow any runs scored through their innings on the hill.

Kaleb Keelean and
Francisco Pedraza both racked up two stolen bases each for CSUEB. Keelean now has three stolen bases total in the season as he added one hit, one run and two RBI. Pedraza is now a perfect 4-of-4 in stolen base attempts as he finished with a hit and a run.

The Pioneers will return to Hayward for a their four-game Homecoming Series against Stanislaus State this upcoming week.
