HAYWARD, Calif., -- The No. 25-ranked Cal State East Bay swim team wrapped up its 2019-20 regular season on Saturday with its final home meet on a gorgeous sunny day at Pioneer Pool. The Pioneers defeated Fresno Pacific in a dual between two of the top squads in the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference by a final score of 140.5-64.5.
Â
The meet was preceded by an emotional "Senior Day" ceremony, during which East Bay celebrated the careers of its five seniors —

Â
East Bay had a solid showing in the next two events, the 200 IM and the 100 Fly, as Zukeran took first place in both events. The senior finished at 2:14.04 in the 200 IM and at a time of 58.40 in the 100 Fly.  Sophomore

Â
In the final individual event of the day, the 100 Breast was the lone event in which a Pioneer swimmer did not finish in second place. Despite that, Padilla touched the wall in third followed by Bay and Walker in fourth and fifth.
Â
The Pioneers had a solid showing in the 400 Free Relay to finish the meet, as the quartet of Klinger, Augustain, Frank and Rishwain finished in first just ahead of FPU with a time of 3:36.10.
Â
The team now has a little over two weeks before hopping a flight to SoCal for the 2019-20 PCSC Championships, held Feb. 12-15 at ELAC Swimming Pool in East Los Angeles.
