HAYWARD, Calif. -- Sunday's series finale between the Cal State East Bay baseball team and No. 7 ranked UC San Diego has been cancelled. After a 90-minute rain delay, the umpires determined the field conditions were unsafe for play.
The Pioneers and Tritons split their rain-shortened CCAA series, one game apiece. UCSD won the opener Saturday morning, 9-4, and then the Pioneers were victorious in the back end of the doubleheader, 6-1.Â
Next up, East Bay makes its first Southern California road trip of the season for a three-game series next weekend at Cal State San Marcos.Â
