TURLOCK, Calif.
-- Two members of the Cal State East Bay men's track and field team competed on Saturday at the Warrior Open, hosted by Stanislaus State, as the Pioneers continue to gear up for California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships.

Sophomore sprinter Aaron Jones had an extremely productive day, posting strong times in both his events. Jones placed fifth overall in the 100 meters, crossing the tape in 10.99. It was Jones' first time this season running the 100, and his time currently ranks No. 8 among CCAA runners.

Jones also ran the 200 meters, finishing second out of 21 total entrants. He turned in a time of 21.98, just shy of his personal best of 21.96, which he set earlier this Spring and currently ranks No. 2 in the CCAA.

Freshman Deion Molina traveled to Turlock to run the 5000 meters. He fell just four-hundredths of a second short of winning the race, but nonetheless posted a solid runner-up time of 16:13.09.

Jones, Molina and the rest of the CSUEB squad will all be back in action next week with the team heads across the Bay to compete in the annual SF State Distance Carnival.
