AZUSA – Cal State East Bay's men's track and field team recorded several strong marks across distance and field events at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Samuel Galtman led the Pioneers in the throws, placing fifth in the javelin with a mark of 49.58 meters.
On the track, Matthew Morgon turned in one of the top finishes for East Bay, placing sixth in the 1500 meters with a time of 3:53.72. Phillip Logan also competed in the event, crossing the line in 3:55.19.
In the jumps, Amier Hollis posted a sixth-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.88 meters. Hollis also competed in the high jump, clearing 1.88 meters, while Dapri Smith led the Pioneers in the event with a seventh-place finish at 1.93 meters.
East Bay also competed in the 4x400 relay, finishing 11th with a time of 3:24.39.
