TURLOCK, Calif.-- In their second event of the 2016 track and field season, Cal State East Bay took 10th place with a total of 71 points in the Stanislaus State Kim Duyst Invitational at Warrior Stadium Saturday.
For the second consecutive week,
Marquise Cherry finished second in the long jump. He jumped 23 feet, nine inches. That jump improved upon his mark of 23 feet, six inches at last week's Johnny Mathis Invitational in San Francisco.
Aaron Jones and
Kimane Juneau finished second and third, respectively in the 100 meters. Jones ran an 11.70 and Juneau crossed the finish line at 11.78.
In the 4x100m relay the team of
Anthony Anderson,
Philip Gernert, Juneau, and Jones came in second place with a time of 43.43. Anderson also ran the 110m hurdles and received a time of 17:52.
Kyle Fetter finished third in the 1500m with a time of 4:19.12.

Esteban Leon (4:30.24),
Charlie Gonzalez (4:38.58), Jesue Leon (4:39.17), and
Latee Piggee (4:44.33) followed in order behind Fetters.
Leo Theus III competed in the 800m run and received a time of 2:05.76.
