Hornet Invitational Results
SACRAMENTO, Calif.-- It was an excellent day as several Cal State East Bay Track and Field athletes put forth great efforts Saturday at the Sacramento State Hornet Invitational.
"We had a great day. Almost everyone ran a season best or life time best," said Cal State East Bay Track and Field Head Coach,
Tony Nicolosi. "Everyone stepped their game up and competed today. It was a huge day."
In a field including division one talent, the Pioneers accounted very nicely for themselves.Senior
Suzanne Bateson competed in the 400 meters and took 17
th place with a time of 58.56. Junior
Ravyn Miller also competed in the 400 for the Pioneers and took 39
th with a time of 1:01.23.
Senior
Oddessy Tapia took 26
th place in a field of 73 in the 1500 meter run and clocked a time of 4:43.55. Junior
Kelsey Lamb ran in the 1500 and crossed the finish line at 5:00.65.
Freshman
Imani Blincoe ran in both the 100 and 200 meter dash in Sacramento. In the 100, Blincoe finished 29
th with a time of 12.67. The 200 saw her cross the line 37
th at 26.46. Blincoe was joined by Miller in the 200 and Miller finished with a time of 26.80.
Junior
Kandace Compton was the lone Pioneer to compete in the 800 meter run and finished 23rd out of 62 with a time of 2:18.32.
Cal State East Bay next competes Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2 at the Stanford Invitational and SF State Distance Carnival.
