SAN FRANCISCO -- Cal State East Bay sophomore
Camille Hansen scored at the 2015 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Championships on Saturday by taking fifth place in the final of the 1500 meters.
Hansen's time of 4:37.77 was a personal best, eclipsing Friday qualifying time by more than half a second. It ranks as the 10th-fastest 1500 time in program history.
The Hayward High School product was the only member of the Pioneer women's track and field team to compete in an event final on Saturday, despite several strong performances by the rest of the squad in the preliminary round.
The East Bay women finished 11th in the team standings, while Chico State took took the conference championship.
