POMONA, Calif. - The Pioneer baseball team lost to Cal Poly Pomona by the score of 9-3 on April 3.
Cal Poly Pomona, which took three out of four games in the series, is 13-11 in CCAA play and 19-11 overall.
East Bay is 7-19 in the CCAA and 9-24 for the season.
The Pioneers banged out 10 hits, but left 11 runners on base.
The Broncos scored single runs in first and fourth innings to grab a 2-0 lead. Travis Taijeron gave the Broncos a 5-0 advantage with a 3-run double in the fifth.

Chris Houston singled to drive in
Charlie Sharrer.
Nick McManus doubled to open the top of the eighth and later scored on a base hit by
Lincoln Clapper.
Chris Miller had a two-run double as Cal Poly Pomona scored four runs in the bottom of the eighth.
East Bay scored its final run in the ninth inning.
Scott Shields was 3-for-4 at the plate with a run scored for the Pioneers. McManus had a pair of hits to raise his team leading batting average to .328.
