Cal State LA Completes Four Game Sweep Over CSUEB

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -
The Pioneer baseball team lost to Cal State L.A. 8-4 on March 6.

The Eagles, who completed the four-game sweep over the Pioneers, is now 10-2 in CCAA play and 15-5 overall.

Trailing 6-1, the Pioneers scored a pair of runs in the fifth inning. Andrew Woolfe had a sacrifice fly while Charlie Sharrer singled home Dylan Johnson to account for the Pioneers two runs.

East Bay scored its final run in the ninth inning. Nick McManus drove in Hector Iribe with a single.

Johnson and Iribe each had a pair of hits for the Pioneers.

Manny Acosta hit a three-run home run while Brian Moon drove in three runs for the Eagles.

Cal State East Bay, 2-10 in the CCAA and 4-15 overall, will host Cal State San Bernardino in a four-game series beginning on March 11.
