In a performance highlighted by many season best times, the Pioneer women's swimming team turned in a solid effort against San Jose State on a sunny day at the Pioneer Pool on Jan. 14.
Rachel Knowles recorded a lifetime best of 32.55 to finish second in the 50 yard breast. Knowles was clocked in 4:59.72 in the 400 yard IM.
Tristan Kennedy-Donohue, competing in her first meet of the season, came close to finishing second in the 50 yard free (26.65) and 100 yard back (1:03.70). Kennedy-Donahue was third in the 50 yard back timed in 29.50.
Lindsay Miller turned in a season-best time of 28.60 to finish third in the 50 yard fly. Miller was the Pioneers' top finisher in the 200 yard free with a fourth place time of 2:04.66, also a season-best.
Murphy Wimer had a season-best time of 1:00.10, to take third place in 100 yard fly.
Sara Bonino was clocked in 5:26.28 in the 500 yard free.
Jenni Perez and
Heidi Reddig recorded season best times of 59.38 and 1:01.91 to place third and fifth respectively in the 100 yard free.
Rebecca Stratton had a lifetime best time of 11:49.18 in the 1000 yard free.
Both the Pioneer 200 yard medley relay and 200 yard free relay teams turned in a good performance against the Spartans.

Rachel Knowles had a huge lifetime best in the 50 breastroke and
Tristan Kennedy-Donohue did a great job in her first meet of the season.”
The Pioneers will continue to face Division I competition as they travel to Reno, Nevada to take on the Wolfpack on Jan. 15.
