Golfer Matt Lee had a strong showing in Cal State East Bay's last tournament of the fall season, leading the Pioneers to a third-place finish at the Dennis Rose Invitational in Hawaii. The freshman shot 222 (+6) for the tournament, capped off by an even-par 72 in the third round. This landed him in a tie for eighth place overall, the only Pioneer to place in the top-10. Lee has had an impressive campaign in his first year at East Bay. He has finished in the top-12 in all three tournaments in which he's competed, and twice he has posted the low score for the Pioneers.
