Women's soccer player Tia Sidtikun has been named Cal State East Bay's Female Athlete of the Week, sponsored by Doubletree by Hilton Pleasanton at the Club, for the week of Oct. 5-11.

Sidtikun scored the golden goal for the Pioneers with four minutes left in double-overtime to lift the team to a thrilling 1-0 victory over Cal State San Bernardino at home on Sunday. Andrea Hernandez sent a corner kick into the box, which hit off multiple players in a scamble before finding Sidtikun, who fired the ball into the back of the net. 

The victory was the third in conference play for the Pioneers and snapped a three-game losing streak overall. A junior transfer from Cal State Monterey Bay, Sidtikun has started 12 games and ranks fourth on the team in minutes played. Sunday's game-winner was her first goal as a Pioneer.
