Wardlow picked up his third straight weekly award after helping the Pioneer men split a pair of tough road games in SoCal. Approximately 50 miles down the 210 Freeway from his hometown of Lake View Terrace, Wardlow tallied 12 points, four rebounds, and a team-high five assists at Cal Poly Pomona on Thursday. Then after celebrating his 23rd birthday on Friday, the senior had his best game of the season the following afternoon, leading East Bay to a huge victory at Cal State San Bernardino. He racked up a season-high 23 points, going 9-for-14 from the field and 5-for-6 from long distance -- his best career effort from three-point range. For the week, he averaged 17.5 points and 3.5 assists per game while shooting 54 percent from the floor and going 7-for-11 from beyond the arc. Wardlow has scored in double figures in eight straight games for the 13-3 Pioneers, and he leads the team in scoring during conference play, averaging 14.0 points per game on 48 percent shooting.Â
