Senior men's basketball player Jack Pasquini has been named Cal State East Bay's Male Athlete of the Week for Dec. 29 though Jan. 4. It's his second straight week claiming the award after leading the Pioneers in scoring and rebounding this past weekend. The Scotts Valley native scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds in a 70-57 loss at SF State on Friday night. The following night, he paced the squad with 16 points and eight boards in a 71-51 loss at Sonoma State. It was his highest scoring output of the season in CCAA play and his sixth straight game with at least eight rebounds. For the season, Pasquini is second on the Pioneers averaging 9.2 points per game, and he leads the CCAA at 8.8 rebounds per game.
