Rachel Armstrong is CSUEB's Female Athlete of the Week after scoring the game-tying and game-winning goals in a 3-1 victory over Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday, Oct. 5. After CSUEB surrendered an early goal, Armstrong redirected services from teammates Sara Yamasaki and Janelle Herrera in the 30th and 38th minutes, respectively, to put the Pioneers ahead by halftime. The victory snapped a three-game losing skid to the Otters and gave the Pioneers their best record through four CCAA matches (2-2-0) since the 2011 campaign.
