Senior guard Gabe Kindred had two remarkable performances last weekend despite a pair of tough road losses for the Cal State East Bay men's basketball team. He's the fourth-leading scorer in the CCAA and continued his run of efficient shooting. On Friday night, Kindred scored a career-high 30 points at Chico State to go along with a team-high 6 rebounds. He was 7-for-13 from the field, 3-for-5 on three-pointers, and 13-for-16 from the free throw line. The next night, the Oakland native once again paced the squad with 19 points in the double-overtime loss to Cal State Stanislaus. He was 6-for-12 from the floor and 5-for-6 on free throws, also adding three assists. For the weekend, Kindred averaged 24.5 ppg while shooting 52 percent from the field, 62.5 percent from long range, and 81.8 percent from the stripe. For the season, he leads the CCAA in three-point percentage (50.0%) and has made 35 more free throws than the next-closest player.
