ALAMEDA, Calif. – The 2026 Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout wrapped up Tuesday from Corica Park. The host team, Cal State East Bay women's golf, finished in an eighth place tie on the team leaderboard among 19 competing in the 36-hole, par 72 tournament over two days.

Carlota Eroles was the lowest scorer on the course among the Pioneers, finishing at 3-under-par 141 (68-72), with a fifth place tie on the final leaderboard. In Monday's first round, she had six birdies and finished with seven birdies overall.

The next lowest scorer for East Bay was Torrie Bowman, who finished 5-over-par 149. She also had seven birdies.

Winning the team scoring was Cal State San Marcos. The medalists included Zoe Garcia from Seattle Pacific and Avery Foster from CSUSM, each finishing 8-under-par 136. Foster won a two hole playoff for the first place trophy.

Cal State East Bay head golf coach Alan Sue following Tuesday's final round: "Today was a tough round for the Pioneers. Carlota had a solid tournament and kept us in the top half of the field with her efforts. We have work to do as we are in the early parts of our season-long journey. I still feel we have a great group of golfers and I know they are ready to put in the necessary work to get the consistency that we need to be at the top of the Western Region. That work continues tomorrow."

East Bay returns to action on March 9-10 for the CSUSM Fujikura Invitational from Shadowridge Golf Club in Vista, California.
