GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Cal State East Bay women's golf opened the 2026-27 season Monday and Tuesday at the Women's Shootout at Estrella, finishing ninth in the two-round tournament at Golf Club of Estrella.

The Pioneers posted matching rounds of 312 to finish the 36-hole event at 624, 48-over par.

Torrie Bowman and Sakshi Mehta led East Bay on the individual leaderboard, tying for 35th at 11-over 155. Both opened the tournament with rounds of 77 before carding 78 in Tuesday's final round.

Kathy Leeper posted East Bay's low round of the day on Tuesday, carding a 3-over-par 75. After opening with an 81, Leeper finished tied for 43rd at 12-over 156.

Colette Trotter finished tied for 51st at 14-over 158. Trotter opened with a 77 before closing the tournament with an 81.

Nylani Stevenson rounded out the Pioneer lineup, finishing 81st at 24-over 168 after posting matching rounds of 84.

East Bay's final-round 312 matched its opening-round score as the Pioneers finished ninth in the team standings at 48-over 624.

Cal State East Bay returns to competition Sept. 28-29 at the DBU Classic at Dallas Athletic Club in Dallas, Texas.
