LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Despite not seeing action on the field since February 14, Cal State East Bay softball climbed to No. 2 in the latest NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll.
The Pioneers were scheduled for a home doubleheader last week, but it was rained out. Wednesday will be the 2026 home opener for the Pioneers - a doubleheader against No. 16 Concordia University Irvine.
The only team ahead of East Bay in the NFCA poll is CCAA rival No. 1 Cal State San Marcos.
First pitch for Wednesday's home doubleheader is set for noon from Pioneer Softball Field.
