ALISO VIEJO, Calif. — Cal State East Bay senior midfielder
Mika Sayfurahman has been named the FloCollege/CCAA Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 27–Nov. 2, following a dominant two-match stretch that featured four goals and a hat trick performance.
Sayfurahman powered the Pioneers to a 1-0-1 week, highlighted by a 5-0 road win at San Francisco State and a 1-1 draw against CCAA leader Chico State. Against the Gators, the Livermore native delivered a spectacular hat trick, becoming just the second player in the CCAA this season to accomplish the feat. Two of her goals came unassisted, including the match-winner that sealed the decisive victory.
Sayfurahman carried that momentum into Sunday's match against Chico State, where she scored the equalizer in the 67th minute to help East Bay earn a key point against one of the conference's top teams.
With her standout week, Sayfurahman moved into the top tier of CCAA statistical leaders, tying for second in total points (15) and third in goals (6). This marks Sayfurahman's fourth career CCAA Athlete of the Week honor. She previously earned the recognition twice in 2023 and once in 2024.
Cal State East Bay (6-8-3 overall, 4-4-2 CCAA) wraps up the regular season Thursday at home against Cal State Dominguez Hills. The match will stream live on FloCollege
