HAYWARD, Calif. – A week removed from the season opening meet at Chabot College Track, Cal State East Bay women's track & field competed in the West Coast Opener at the same venue, placing second among five teams.
TRACK EVENTS
- The first four finishes in the women's 100 meters were won by Pioneers. Tylar Gallien won the sprint in 13.27 seconds (personal best), with Annah-Bryce Wright, Rymiyah Pringle-Hamilton and Maleah Taylor to follow in second, third and fourth place respectively.
- Winning the 400 meters with a personal best 58.16 seconds was Jenna Rodriguez.
- Cal State East Bay's 4x100 meter relay team (Pringle-Hamilton, Taylor, Wright, Gallien) won the event in 50.63 seconds.
- In 4:13.17, the team of Simryn Parikh, Gallien, Ashley Trout and Rodriguez won the 4x400 meter relay.
Saint Mary's College won the team scoring for the meet.
