SAN MARCOS, Calif. – The 2023 CCAA Track & Field Championships concluded on Saturday at Mangrum Track & Field. Among seven teams for men's track & field, Cal State East Bay finished seventh in team scoring.
 
Below are highlights for Cal State East Bay from Saturday's action.

• Chas O'Bear placed 11^th in the finals of the 1,500 meters.
• Placing eighth in the 800 meters was Dylan Gong.
• Three runners from the Pioneers competed in the 5,000 meters on Saturday with the fastest finish from Cole McKain in 15 minutes, 19.42 seconds.
• Two relay teams placed sixth for CSUEB, including the 4x100 relay team of Jared Giles, Noah Bean, Jay Canales and Mateo DiDomenico and the 4x400 relay team of Bean, Matthew Morgon, Gong and Andrew Sandoval.

The 2023 season was the first complete season for the Pioneers under the direction of Pioneers Hall of Famer Norm Alston.
