CLOVIS, Calif. - On Saturday at Veterans Memorial Stadium, Cal State East Bay women's track participated on one event during the Fresno State Invitational. Two personal records were met in the 400 meters.
Simryn Parikh and
Ashley Trout competed in the 400 meters and each finished with their respective top mark. For the first time as a Pioneer, Parikh lowered her time in the 400 meters to under a minute, reaching a personal record of 59.68 seconds. Trout had shown time improvement throughout much of the 2023 season in the 400 meters, and on Saturday, met her personal record of 1:00.38 seconds.
The Pioneers have completed the 2023 regular season and will next compete in the 2023 CCAA Track & Field Championships in San Marcos at Mangrum Track & Field on the campus of Cal State San Marcos. The three day meet starts May 4 and runs through Saturday, May 6. Although the meet begins May 4, Cal State East Bay's participation by day may vary based on event schedule and/or qualification.
