CHICO, Calif. – Cal State East Bay men's track & field competed Saturday at the Chico Invitational. For several runners on the Pioneers, notably distance runners, it would be their final regular season meet before the 2023 CCAA Championships.
 
Below are some highlights from the track on Saturday for CSUEB.

• Two runners met personal records in the 800 meters – Dylan Gong and Matthew Morgon. Gong placed third in one minute, 56.02 seconds. Morgon finished with a time of 1:56.95.
• Cole McKain won the 5,000 meters in 15:40.05.

Although some runners have completed their 2023 regular season for the Pioneers, there will be others from Cal State East Bay competing next Saturday, April 29, in the Fresno State Invitational, which will take place at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Clovis, California.
