STANFORD, Calif. – On Saturday, Cal State East Bay men's track & field competed in the Cardinal Classic on the campus of Stanford University at Cobb Track and Angell Field.
Below are some of the highlights from the meet for the Pioneers.
- Jared Giles achieved two personal records in sprints, including 11.11 seconds in the 100 meters and 22.66 seconds in the 200 meters.
- In the 5,000 meters, Aidan Singh placed second overall with a personal best time of 14:53.44.
- Chas O'Bear placed seventh in the 5,000 meters.
- Also in the 5,000 meters for Pioneers not debuting in the event, Dylan Shubert's finish of 15:43.15 was a personal best.
The next meet for the Pioneers takes place March 30-April 1 – the Mike Fanelli Track Classic. The meet takes place at Cox Stadium on the campus of San Francisco State University. Although the meet includes three days of events, participation for Cal State East Bay may not necessarily occur each day, as it depends on event schedule and/or qualification.
