Quotes from the CSUEB Coaching Staff
Head Coach
Tony Nicolosi following Friday's action:
"[
Claire Fisher] ran so tough today. That was an incredibly difficult field of women, and she ran amazing. Kim Lima was the surprise of the day. Scoring in the 10,000, as a freshman, it was nothing short of stellar. It is so hard to score in this conference and she stole one today.
Nicolosi also spoke following Saturday's
"Pretty historic day on a lot of fronts. Chase ran the race of her life. She dropped 10 seconds and put herself in some elite company in East Bay 1,500 history."
"Leza ran tough in an extremely fast 5000. This is one of the toughest distance conferences in the country, to get a point in that event is no small feat."
"Both teams created a lot of momentum for our programs future, this was an incredibly challenging year for our team and our conference. We believe we are back on track as we begin to add other events to truly field a track and field team. I was so fortunate to coach this group this year, and can't wait to get back to work with them next fall."
