Quotes from Cal State East Bay head coach
Tony Nicolosi
"What a fun race to watch. [
Leza Cassidy] and [
Chase Worthen] are running as well as anyone in our conference right now. For them to go 1-2 in a large, competitive heat shows how tough they are going to beat in any race they enter at CCAA. They ran fantastic, and are helping establish our women's distance program as one of the better teams in [NCAA Division II]."
The Pioneers are scheduled to compete in the CCAA Championships, which take place on May 5-7 from Cox Stadium in San Francisco. Heat assignments will be announced at as the meet approaches.
