ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The first round of the 2022 Nick Turner Invitational took place Monday at Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course. The Cal State East Bay women's golf team finished the day in a second place tie among 15 teams in the tournament. 

Through the round, Drishti Karumbaya sits in second place on the leaderboard at 1-under-par 71. She had a pair of birdies and made even par on 15 holes played. 

 Julika Grosspietsch sits in a fifth place tie at 1-over-par 73 with one birdie. 

Cal State San Marcos currently leads the team competition after the opening round, and Caroline Wales of CSUSM sits atop the leaderboard by one stroke at 2-under-par 70. 

Round two is set for a shotgun start on Tuesday morning at 8:30 a.m. from Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course.
