SEASIDE, Calif. - On Monday, the first two rounds of the Otter Invitational took place at Bayonet Golf Course. Through Monday, the Cal State East Bay men's golf team sits in fourth place among 18 teams. 

Competing as an individual golfer, Ryan Hong is currently third on the leaderboard, at 4-under-par 140. In the first round, Hong carded a 66. After 36 holes played, Hong has 11 birdies. 

Here are some other highlights from Monday for the Pioneers.

• Xavier Coreno leads the team with the lowest score through two rounds of 1-over-par 145, which includes a 70 in round two as he is tied for 14th on the leaderboard. He had eight birdies on Monday.
• Ananjan Kaushik leads the field in even par holes with 30. 
• Fraser Owenson (competing as an individual), had the only eagle among all Cal State East Bay golfers. 

After the first two rounds, Barry leads the team competition and Simon Bjorken from Cal State Monterey Bay sits atop the leaderboard at 8-under-par 136. 

Tuesday's third round set for a shotgun start at 8:15 a.m.
