Mens Golf win Shootout

No. 19 Pioneers Win Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout at 15-Under

ALAMEDA, Calif. — No. 19 Cal State East Bay captured the team title at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout, firing a three-round total of 15-under-par at Corica Park (South Course) to top the 18-team field.

The Pioneers posted rounds of 5-under, 4-under and a tournament-best 6-under in the final round to secure the victory.

Hendricks Leads the Way

Peyton Hendricks paced East Bay with a 7-under-par tournament total, finishing fourth overall. Hendricks opened with a 70 (-2), followed with a 67 (-5) in round two, and closed with an even-par 72 to remain inside the top five.

Nathaniel Frink turned in a strong performance as well, tying for 11th at 4-under-par. Frink carded rounds of 68 (-4), 75 (+3), and 69 (-3) across the three rounds.

Easton Hether finished tied for 24th at even-par overall, posting rounds of 72 (E), 69 (-3), and 75 (+3).

Jack Blinderman placed 28th at 1-over-par with scores of 74 (+2), 73 (+1), and 70 (-2), while Oscar Blomqvist rounded out the scoring five in a tie for 48th at 5-over-par after shooting 73 (+1), 77 (+5), and 71 (+1).

Cal State East Bay's consistent under-par play across all three rounds, highlighted by its 6-under final round, sealed the tournament championship.
