VISTA, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay women's golf team finished seventh in the Fujikura Invitational hosted by Cal State San Marcos on Monday at the Shadowridge Golf Club.
Due to incoming inclement on the forecast the 14 teams decided to fit all 36 holes into one day.
The sophomore duo
Drishti Karumbaya and
Vivian Yen both finished with a share of 22nd place as they both shot a 156 total. Karumbaya shot a 77 (+5) in the opening round and a 79 (+7) in the final round of the day. Yen compiled an 81 (+9) to start the afternoon and improved to shoot a 75 (+3) in the second round.
Senior
Mikia Fang tallied a 157 total just one stroke behind teammates Karumbaya and Yen to take a share of 25th place overall. Fang notched a 79 (+7) in the first round before finishing the day shooting a 78 (+6) in the final round.
Freshman
Sachika Singh tallied a total score of 159 after opening the morning shooting a 79 (+7) in the first round. Singh finished the second round by shooting an 80 (+8) to compile a tie for 31st place overall.
Junior
Jojo Roecker secured a share of of 44th place by starting the day shooting an 80 (+8) before finishing the tournament by shooting a 81 (+9) in the final round.
The Pioneers will return to action next week when they travel to nearby Roseville for the Mikuni Sushi Shootout hosted Holy Names University, March 15-17.
