ALAMEDA, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay baseball team improved to 4-0 for the first time since 2016 after their, 10-3 road victory over Holy Names, Tuesday night at Pat Bail Field.

The Pioneers, who have scored at least nine runs in every ballgame so far this season, racked up 11 hits and scored multiple runs across three different innings.

The home team Hawks got off to a hot start claiming a 2-0 lead after the opening innings of action. But CSUEB would score seven straight runs to take a lead they would never surrender.

Senior transfer
AJ Curtis continued his hot streak at the plate leading the Pioneers going 3-of-4 with two RBI and two runs scored. The Pleasanton native is tops of the squad batting .500 with eight hits and seven runs scored.

Fellow seniors
Ryan McSwain and
Omar Sanchez both turned in solid performances. McSwain notched two hits and scored a run. He leads the Pios with a .813 slugging percentage to go with six hits and seven runs. Sanchez scored two runs and finished with one hit. He has a .500 on base percentage with four runs scored.

Adrian Padilla scored two runs and chipped in a hit while
Jordan Macias,
Kaleb Keelean and
Robert Lujan all added a hit and scored a run. Lujan racked up two RBI.
Samuel Esparza collected an RBI on his lone hot of the evening.

Junior
Ryan Robinson got the start on the mound for the Pioneers and recorded two strikeouts through two innings of action. Freshman
Garrison Finck (W, 1-0) garnered his first career win as a Pioneer as he led the the rotation with three innings on the hill. Finck did not allow any runs scored and tacked one strikeout.

The Pioneers will continue their road trip as they head to Southern California to open California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play with a four game series against Cal State San Bernardino.
