HAYWARD, Calif. —The Cal State East Bay women's soccer team returns to the pitch for two games this weekend, highlighted by a home contest against Holy Names on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7 p.m., followed by a road contest at Dominican on Saturday, Sept. 21 starting at 2:30 p.m.
Admission to Thursday's match is free, with live streams and live stats available for both contests.
Cal State East Bay (0-3-1) and Holy Names (0-2-1) have split each of its last two head-to-head meetings, including a 3-1 Pioneer victory in 2017.
CSUEB has won two of the last three matchups against Dominican (2-1-1) after earning a 2-1 home win in 2018.
Junior
Lauren McDougal scored twice in Cal State East Bay's last outing, as the Pioneers fell short in a road contest against Northwest Nazarene, 6-2. Senior
Ally Smith and freshman
Jill Nelsen had one assist apiece, while sophomore goalkeeper
Briana Vasquez-Ortiz tallied five saves.

Jordan Smith has made three starts in the net for the Pioneers, recording 17 saves with just five goals against.
Following this week's action, the Pioneers open California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) play at home against UC San Diego on Sept. 27, and against Cal State San Marcos on Sept. 29.
