MONMOUTH, Ore. — Mission accomplished!
The Cal State East Bay women's cross country team achieved its goal and reached a major program milestone on Saturday, finishing third overall with 142 points in the NCAA West Regional, hosted by Western Oregon.
With the result, the Pioneers have qualified for the NCAA Championships on Nov. 23, in Sacramento, Calif.

Angie Ronquillo, junior
Claire Fisher and sophomore
Amanda Navarro each earned All-West Region honors on Saturday after recording top-25 finishes.
Ronquillo placed 10th overall and set a new Cal State East Bay program record by crossing the finish line in 21-minutes, 3.6-seconds. Fisher finished 14th overall in 21:09.0 and Navarro was 18th with a time of 21:11.9.

Andrea Romero finished 37th overall (21:48.0), senior
Alondra Castro Ortiz was 67th (22:12.3) and freshman
Ariel Van Riper placed 99th (22:35.9).
