CARLSBAD, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay women's golf team concluded their fall season as they finished 13th out of 17 teams at the DII West Region Preview at the La Costa Country Club in Carlsbad, California.
Drishti Karumbaya notched a share of 21st overall place after opening the tournament with a 79 (+7) on the par 72 course. Karumbaya bounced back to shoot a 77 in the final round to finish with a final score of 156.
Sachika Singh started off by shooting an 80 (+8) to open the tournament before wrapping up the tournament by scoring an 83 (+11). Singh finished with a final score of 163 which tied her for 51st overall.
Alexis Esgeurra shot an 84 (+12) to get her opening round started for the Pioneers. Esgeurra improved by four strokes in her final round as she shot an 80 (+8) to finish with an overall score of 168 which tied for 53rd place.
Mikia Fang opened tournament play by notching an 82 (+10) in the opening round of action on the course. Fang went on to shoot an 86 (+14) in the final round as she notched a 168 for the tournament which tied for 67th overall.
Jojo Roecker finished the West Region Preview with an overall showing of 169 which tied her for 72 overall. Roecker shot an 83 (+11) in the first round and finished the tournament by shooting an 86 (+14).
East Bay will not take the course again until they host the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout hosted at the Corica Park South Course in Alameda on March 1-3.
