HAYWARD, Calif., -- The Cal State East Bay women's track and field team featured a couple student-athletes set new personal best marks at the SF State Invitational hosted at Chabot College March 30 & 31.
Senior
Dana Pollard (Modesto, Calif.) registered a top-15 finish in the 2-mile run with a time of 12:13.87. Sophomore
Brittney Duquette (Claremont, Calif.) placed first in her heat and 51st overall with a time of 2:18.69 in the 800m event.
Andrea Romero (Delano, Calif.) and
Alondra Castro Ortiz (Pomona, Calif.) both set new personal records in the 1500m event with times of 4:56.72 and 5:03.24 respectively.
Angelina Ronquillo (Bakersfield, Calif.) finished third in her 1500m heat with a time of 4:43.40.
Senior
Katherine Embody (Castro Valley, Calif.) locked in a top-20 finish in the 1-mile run with a time of 5:29.91, good for 16th place. Freshman
Jodi Go (Hilo, Hawaii) followed with a 26th place finish with a time of 5:57.29.
In the 5000m event Sophomore
Megan Satterfield (Granada Hills, Calif.) paced the Pioneer runners in this event with a time of 17:55.27. Freshman
Claire Fisher (Temecula, Calif.) finished the same event in a time of 18:39.63. Senior
Cecilia Carretero (Modesto, Calif.) completed the 5000m in a time of 18:04.04.
The East Bay team relay team of

Andrea Romero finished 4th in the Distance Medley in a time of 12:45.97.
The Pioneer 4x100m relay team of
Shelby Parker (Mililani, Hawaii), Yingfei Zheng (Nanjing, China),
Elizabeth Cocker (Rancho Cordova, Calif.) and Sam Valencia (Riverside, Calif.) placed 8th with a time of 1:05.57.
Cal State East Bay will travel north to Chico, Calif. for the Chico State Distance Carnival on Saturday afternoon, April 7 at University Stadium.
